Blog Birthing

I am nearly 10 years behind the times, narrowly missing generation X, and certainly way off from generation Y.  Did the alphabet restart and we are now at Generation E?  or I? Who knew blogging could be so easy, even by one minimally equipped in the ways of Java?

This blog is going to be about finding a job.  I am in the biotech industry and am fortunate to be living in the cesspool of biotechnology, the Boston area.  I could say I was in the biotech industry, but the biotech industry and I have not officially parted ways.  For an industry where the main objective seems to be not bringing anything to market, not hiring me seems to be in line with that strategy.

This blog is also about the biotech industry, the good and the bad.

This blog is also about food.  I eat a lot of it and cook a lot of it.  Last night was Thai braised pulled pork. A 12 oz. can of mexican coconut water,  1/2 cup brown sugar, three thai red peppers, three stalks of lemon grass chopped fine, two shallots, a couple slices of galanga, 1/4 cup fish sauce, juice of two limes and 2 oranges, and one 6 lb "picnic cut" pork shoulder.  All placed in dutch oven for 7 hr at 300C.  The luxury of unemployment is excessive time for long braises.

This blog is about finding excellence, finding satisfaction, finding solace.
